you, me & everyone we know If you have ever heard of You, Me, And Everyone We Know, you know that they are known for their wit and catchy lyrics and songs. “So Young, So Insane” is no exception. If you had Party For The Grown and Sexy on heavy rotation, be sure to download this EP. It is everything expected and more.
The EP starts off strong with 'I Can Get Back Up Now'. It will have you dancing, tapping your feet, or singing along within the first listen. If you think you hear Max Bemis from Say Anything toward the ending, you are correct. Bemis' part in the song only adds to the whole effect of the song, doesn’t necessarily put to rest the Say Anything comparison the band always gets but at least they’re aware and take advantage of it.
Songs like "A Symptom" and "Colorful Language", give off a newer sound that departs from Party For The Grown and Sexy. While the song "Happy Birthday" feels like it would fit in perfectly on their old album Party For The Grown and Sexy.
So Young, So Insane gives us a new sound for YM&EWK, while still holding on to their wit and not straying too far from the old EP. Each song adds to the album, and avoids the unnecessary filler that many bands resort to. These boys continue to show their talent and that they can put out quality music among a sea of clichés, and co-writers.
