SKY EATS AIRPLANE
What are your plans after the tour?
We are currently writing for our next full length to be recorded at the end of this year.

What's the craziest thing that's ever happened while on tour?
Our merch guy was thrown in jail in Florida because he got pepper sprayed accidentally and started causing a scene. We had to bail him out of jail the next morning. The best thing about it was that he posted a link online that we could go to and see his mug shot anytime we wanted to.

What has been one of your biggest accomplishments as a band?
Having every single band member being an extraordinary musician in some way. Our drummer travis is almost a YouTube phenomenon, while Zack is one of the greatest guitarists I've ever had the pleasure to be in a band with. Elliot has an incredibly soulful voice and Bryan is very creative when it comes to developing vocal ideas. I put together most of the electronica and usually put together our massive live lightshow.

What would people find you doing when you're not playing a show, touring, or working with your music?
Cooking! And I have started my own custom lightshow company called AuraMation. I make completely automated lightshows for bands so that they can have an amazing lightshow without having to bring a lighting designer on the road with them. I recently just finished Family Force 5's wall-o-lights, as well as lightshows for Asking Alexandria, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Secret Handshake, and even ours!

How do you feel about the music scene today?

What was once just an underground genre of music has flowered into something that has substream appeal. We have bands running around and screaming their heads off, who actually can make a living doing that. It's fantastic for the ones that have started in the small clubs and are working their way up to finally have some sort of payoff now. Unfortunately, you have some bands that didn't have to go through the grueling first few years that the rest of us have gone through and I feel that some people take it for granted. Nevertheless, it's great to be able to tour and to make music we love.
