The first two songs off of …And A Happy New Year have very chill, smooth vibes. “Ho Ho Hopefully,” was a good choice to have open the EP. The track is very sweet and optimistic, although a bit cliché – “Hopefully this holiday will remind us where we’re supposed to be.” The four-track EP picks up with the last two songs. Mr. Winter is quite catchy, and will get stuck in your head. A cover of “Last Christmas” closes the EP. The band doesn’t really stretch far from the original; if I were to hear it in a store, I’d mistake it for the original. Overall, …And A Happy New Year is short and sweet. It’s nice to play during the holidays, but forgettable.
